377775 2005-08-03 06:07:00 spybot, adaware, a decent AV program, ewido suite, add remove programs, empty system restore as well. bartsdadhomer (80)
377776 2005-08-03 06:07:00 Nod32 will remove it, I battled with a machine for 2 days straight before getting rid of the sucker for good.

If you want to do it manually then delete the intell32.exe in your windows folder, and delete any *.tmp files hidden in there (the one on the machine I worked on was 746gfte7.tmp)

I suggest you use NOD32.

(and before any other cowboys jump in with 50 billion step instuctions, Removing with Hijack this and just about anything else doesnt work, the free anti-virus aren't able to detect it,neither can nortons, Nod32 deleted it it due to "virus like behaviour".......meaning its new,and hard to get rid of untill the various programs update there definition files...spybot never saw it,adawere deleted half teh files)

Mmmmm... bacon & beans
From personal experience this will also remove it.
www.ewido.net
Make sure you update the definitions once you have installed it

377779 2005-08-03 07:01:00 Agree with that, www.ewido.net will remove it.

You might also like to look at the information here and be aware of any desktop warnings that come up indicating that you have an infection and if you click on the link there that is one of the ways psguard gets installed.

Wasn'ty referring to yourself as a cowboy, just was trying to point out that the usual adaware, spybot,AVG,hijackthis won't do it.Waste of time having hgim spending an hour cleaning it out and posting hijack logs.

Anyhow,PS Guard isn't new nor particulary hard to get rid of, Usually Ad-aware cleans it out, its just the latest release of it doing the rounds is ahead of the definitions lists.Which means only programs that excel at "in the wild" detection will remove it properly.
