377674 2005-08-03 02:21:00 Hi everyone,

I've just been donated an FIC AZ11EA mobo, and I'm looking to throw a better graphics card at it (currently using a Radeon 7000 series 32mb card). I know the mobo can handle 2x/4x AGP, but I'm not sure what, if any, limitations the mobo imposes on gfx cards. I know that an 8x will step down to the lower speed, but I'm not sure which AGP spec the mobo uses (2.0, etc), so I'm not sure which cards would work. I'm also not sure if there are any memory capcity issues. An old FIC SD11 mobo I had wouldn't accept more than 32mb gfx cards, and I'm wondering if a similar issue exists with this mobo.

I've had a quick look around FIC's website, but it doesn't seem to be too helpful. Does anyone know/have experience of this mobo, and which gfx card would be suitable - range of chipsets/prices, if possible.

Cheers

Thanks for that. I had a look at the list of cards, and aside from the fact that the cards referred to are all old, it doesn't make any reference to memory capacity of graphics cards. I'm sure there are quite a few current cards that would work, but the memory issue may not be so clear.

Does anyone have any experience with this motherboard and graphics cards? I'd be really interested to hear what the highest specc'd card is that's been used in one of these mobo's.

Cheers
