2005-08-04 08:23:00 | my OS was trashed recently, so i decided to format. but i stupidly forgot to save the drivers, and now i've got them all back except for the Graphics Card. So now i'm stuck using the windows standard one, which gives me 16 colours only. Any ideas? | supersaiyanplough (8098) | |
2005-08-04 08:30:00 | what type of graphics card do you have? | Prescott (11) | |
2005-08-04 08:31:00 | Find out what the brand/model of the videocard is, and download/reinstall the drivers. That'll fix it. Thats normal when u format. It'll revert back to the minimal amount of colours, until u reinstall the videocard drivers.

2005-08-04 08:33:00 | You need to download suitable video drivers from your video card manufacturer's website. If you have onboard video, then visit your motherboard manufacturer's website and find the correct driver for your model. | Jen (38) | |

2005-08-04 11:03:00 | and run either aida32 or everest home edition they'll tell you that and a LOT more I recently had 2 Unknowns in my device manager. Rather puzzling as all my h/w seemed to be also there OK. Everest was no help at all. Tried Unknown devices which was a liar as it seemed to think I had some ISA bridge missing. Ended up downloading the latest ATI driver (as opposed to the Omega one) and they all went away. I suspect it was the Omega stuffed up the WDM part of the drivers...
