| 378870 | 2005-08-06 08:34:00 | I recently started to recoup some hard disk space by moving files and folders onto DVD. I used Drag&Drop and everything seemed OK so I deleted the originals. The next day I checked before moving some more and ShockHorror 3 out of 4 folders were empty. But when I check Properties the amount of used disk is far greater than the one intact folder. Are the missing files still there?How can I recover the "invisible" files, assuming they are still there? Btw, why does D&D sometimes seem to remove the original so one doesn't have to delete it? And what about the effect of using SendTo/Move? I assume in both instances the files are still on the original hard disk. Will a file recovery programme find them? Martynz |
