NOT a good idea using something like Windows Registry Repair Pro UNLESS u know what you're doing . One WRONG move, programs like this can KILL a system . It may also depend on how fast a system is, on how fast it boots into Windows / XP . Whats the speed of the CPU?? An easier program to use is ccleaner . http://www . ccleaner . com and its free . It has a tools / uninstall option, and a startup tab, where u can delete programs that arent needed on bootup . Or you can search google/yahoo on the entries that are in startup . Either one will tell u what the file is, or whether it's needed, in startup . There is a services option in XP, where u can disable some services to do with XP . BUT it's not a good idea, to disable any services, if u don't know what they do . |

| 378715 | 2005-08-05 22:17:00 | Another site you can try is SysInfo (www.sysinfo.org). This site has a list of what most applications are that are showing up in your startup list. Using the search facility is your best bet, type in the name of the startup application, click search; and voila, it will tell you what service uses it |
