378707 2005-08-05 16:21:00 We are having a lot of trouble using CD's with windows XP professional.
We burnt a few files onto a cd-rw using the xp burning software and when we looked at the disk in the CD-ROM the files were not there. Has anyone had success using CD-RW discs in the way they are meant to be used under windows XP. The system seems to clash with Nero IN-CD and locks up whenever we insert a disk so we cannot use that and are forced to use XP burning. Would Roxio Adaptec work?? Allan

378709 2005-08-05 19:53:00 Or turn off / disable XP's cd burning .

Control panel / admin tools / services / imapi cd burning . Double click this entry, under general tab / disable .

Use either INCD / Nero (data CD option using Nero Express), or DirectCD .

DON'T use/install INCD and DirectCD, they may also conflict with each other .

NOTE: DON'T install CD Creator 5 / DirectCD from v5 of CD Creator

As this is not compatible with XP, unless u get the updates for v5 installed as well .
