| 378310 | 2005-08-04 21:56:00 | Hello :) Was running through Everest checking all my pc settings and found this on my network connection page: Connection Properties: Connection Name ********* Status Connected Device Type pppoe Device Name WAN Miniport (PPPOE) User Name ************* Country / Area Code Not Specified Phone Number ******* Alternate Numbers Not Specified IP Address Dynamic DNS Addresses Dynamic WINS Addresses Dynamic Network Protocols TCP/IP Framing Protocol PPP Login Script File Not Specified Connection Features: Use Current Username & Password No Use Remote Network Gateway Yes Log On To Network Disabled IP Header Compression Disabled Software Compression Enabled PPP LCP Extensions Enabled Open Terminal Before Dial Disabled Open Terminal After Dial Disabled Encrypted Password Required No MS Encrypted Password Required No Data Encryption Required No Secure Local Files Enabled Problems & Suggestions: Suggestion Enable IP header compression to increase network speed. Question: What is Ip header compression and how do I enable to see if it will work? |
