| 378813 | 2005-08-06 21:57:00 | Not ALL SATA hdds need drivers, (from the mobo CD), unless you're using SATA RAID 1,5 etc . If you are, THEN the drivers are MEANT to be installed from a clean install of XP etc. Not later. If you're using SATA, but NOT SATA RAID, then the drivers aren't needed. BUT if it's a new hdd, it needs to be formatted. Before Windows / XP will see it. |
