378336 2005-08-05 02:21:00 The ram has probally been overclocked.

The board is not duel channel.(bugar all difference running duel channel anyway)

You probally wont be able to fill all the dimms with ram, something to do with how many sides of ram you have.

Tripple check the manuel is the correct one for you mobo, or you may be reading about the ide plugs.

Does that heavily snipped report from JJJJJ mean that his CPU is running at FSB 173 x Multiplier 14? AMD 3200+ should be 200x11

The RAM modules themselves are reporting PC3200 capability. It's the frequency that they are being run at that seems wrong.

378338 2005-08-05 03:43:00 Have a look at this and tell me which is the blue one.

Have a look at this and you can see a blue RAM slot.
This link is from the Asus site.
Is it possible you don't have a K8N-E Deluxe motherboard?

Yes I see the blue slot there. The m/b appears to exactly the same as mine apart from the blue slot. I bought it new from Accent and it came in the right box with the right manual.
Asus must have run out of blue slots !

The M/B in the link I posted is exactly the same as yours and mine apart from the blue slot too.

There are other differences too between the Asus site photo and the Overclockers site photo when you copy and paste the two pictures and print them side by side.

Another link from the Asus site.

This for the Asus K8N motherboard. Note that it is not the Deluxe but does have three ram slots all the same colour which is why I was checking YOUR make and model motherboard.

Are you sure you don't have a K8N. Not that I know as I can't see from here. :-)

Well both Everest and PC Wizard and PC Pitstop identify it as a DeLuxe and a quick comparison of the specs shows about the only difference between them is that the DeLuxe has fire wire. Which I have. That doesn't explain why the DeLuxe is a $100 dearer though.

That's my Motherboard without a doubt.
Silicon immage kept annoying me asking for drivers and I didn't have a clue what drivers it wanted so I disabled it. And IEEE 1394 is diabled. Likewise Raid with it's four Sata connections.

378344 2005-08-05 06:02:00 So, whats the point in having that mobo, if u disable most of whats on it? Speedy Gonzales (78)

It's probally hard to get a 64 bit 754 board without all the stuff he has dissabled.
