378877 2005-08-06 09:51:00 Hi all,

I have been sent a couple of cdrs with video on them and I cant eem to get them to play . My mate that sent them runs Linux and I run XP home . He reckons he recorded them in . avi but I cant get the video to show, only the sound . I have just downloaded the new windows media 10 player hoping that this would be up to date enough to play it, but it aint . My friend running Linux said he could watch the disks using the player from here http://xinehq . de .

I have tried windows movie player, quicktime and both give the same result, sound and no video . The files show as "video Clip" in the "file Type" column on the disk .

Can anyone help me with my problem?

Cheers

Mike

GSpot is a free utility which identifies the codec required to play an AVI file
and supplies other information as well.
