378746 2005-08-05 21:48:00 Where did you copy those information from, JJJJJ? From Everest Home Edition? Do you intend to buy this specific RAM for your computer?

Cheers :)

378747 2005-08-05 22:52:00 That is the RAM currently in his computer James.

Since you asked for comments on English, it should be "that information" not "those information." Sure the information has multiple data items, but it comes as a singular bundle.

Just to complicate matters, when the Police lay a number of charges against an individual, they are sometimes referred to as "informations" so then you could use "those informations"

Cheers

378748 2005-08-06 00:15:00 Info copied from PC Wizard 2005.
No I am not going to buy it. I want to know if anythings wrong with it.

I need a valid excuse to convince "She who must be obeyed" that my ram needs replacing

378749 2005-08-07 09:39:00 "Frequency : 158 MHz
FSB/RAM Multiplier : CPU/14x "

Why is this 158 MHz x 14 (=2212) when your CPU should be running 200MHz x 11 (=2200)? The other day it was around 170MHz. Why the change?
The RAM looks like PC3200 capable of running at FSB 200MHz. Have you tried running your system at the right settings in the BIOS?

378750 2005-08-07 09:44:00 Thanks Paul. All I have done is reset my bios to default. I had ir running at 10% overclock.
But now it seems to me my figures are better at default settings. ?????????

378751 2005-08-07 10:03:00 158MHz doesn't seem like a default value. I think somehow your CPU is running at the wrong multiplier setting ( 14 instead of 11). Does the BIOS identify the CPU correctly?
Have you changed any of that stuff?

Based on what you have said in this thread and others I am very confused.
I am not confused any longer as I (think) hopefully you have solved the problems you had.

What figures are you talking about?

Is this frames per second for MSFlightSim?

Maybe I am back to being confused.

Hmm, so does that explain why we normally refer "virus" instead of "viruses" and "spyware" instead of "spywares"? Antivirus instead of antiviruses?

Cheers :)

I see what you mean.
Bios correctly identifies CPU as Athlon 64 3200+.

Have just reset cmos to default. (again)

This is what I get:

Type : DDR-SDRAM PC2500
Frequency : 158 MHz
FSB/RAM Multiplier : CPU/14x
Channels : Single
