378360 2005-08-04 23:47:00 Using a Win 2000 system we are getting alert messages "System to Alert 47 critical errors found" The solution is given to visit a web site that does not exist.
How do we turn this off ?

378361 2005-08-05 00:56:00 If you're on the net when u see this, it sounds like a banner/ad on a site. Don't worry about it. Or get something / a program that blocks ads.

If this message appears if u use windows messenger, this is known to spam messages.

378362 2005-08-05 01:04:00 Speedy is right, it is most likely Windows messenger.. see here (grc.com) for explanation and a small utility to turn it off.

If you don't run a firewall you can also get those pop-ups when the scanning server sees an open IP address.
