| 378326 | 2005-08-04 18:50:00 | ASUS K8N-E Deluxe. I notice in the m/b manual that with 2 sticks of ram . One in slot 1 and the other in slot 3 my max speed should be 400. I have been useing slots 1 & 2 and getting 333. I decided to change them. Any ram in slot 3 is not recognised. The manual also says use the blue slot first. I don't have a blue slot . Three grey ones. My ram is 2 x 512 mb's double sided ddr 400 Everest tells me my memory speed is 3200 (200mhz) mem timing is 2.5 3 3 8 (cl- rcd-pp- ras) Can someone tell me why dim 3 does not work and and any comments on my ram welcome. | 378328 | 2005-08-04 19:13:00 | um........sorry .........if you only have three slots then it's not dual channel try ram timings set to auto in the bios |

| 378329 | 2005-08-04 20:51:00 | I'm not familiar with the board, but maybe theres a jumper nearby thats needs to be changed. I know some mobos have a jumper on them to change from one fsb speed to another | Myth (110) | ||

It should be 1 blue slot and 2 black. It is not a dual channel board. However Everest reports 200 because it is 200 x 2 = 400. SO that is correct. Where do you get the idea it is 333? Unless you have your bios settings wrong? |

| 378333 | 2005-08-05 01:27:00 | Isn't DDR 400 PC3200? In that case yup, you dont have DDR 400 ram. Cant say I've heard of PC2800. BUT it does exist, and is between 2700 and 3200. Only PC3200 (DDR 400), PC2700 (DDR 333), PC2100 (133), PC4000 |
