| 379416 | 2005-08-08 10:09:00 | Hello everyone. I have a minor mystery here. I have a computer that is about 5 years old, went to try a different graphics card in it but it was incompatible. The problem now is that when I put the original back in it wont work now either. I did not change anything else, all cords are plugged in, nothing is loose, all I did was change the graphics cards and thats it. The PC itself boots up completely just fine judging from the sounds, cd-rom, hard drive, and everything, just nothing will come on the monitor. What can cause this? Any suggestions? LOL I am really stumped on this one, thanks for any help. | DrAgOnZeYeZ (8684) | ||

| 379420 | 2005-08-09 01:37:00 | It sounds fried to me. If it is just not likeing the video card then you'll get beeps fron the PC speaker on power on - beep beep beep (three fast or slow I can't quite remember) If yu get nothing from power on, like bios prompt or anything then that is a bad sign. If you are very very lucky you may be able to just re-seat it. :badpc: |
