379383 2005-08-08 03:57:00 hi team:

I would like to know what kinds of printers are good for my $150-$280 price range,

it needs to have USB, and some decent photos 4800*1200dpi .

and is the Epson 5760*1440dpi printer for $237 a bargain?

Thanks a lot,
WM2004

379384 2005-08-08 04:08:00 The printer I use

www.lexmark.com l

Is USB 2. And was only $75 down the road.

And the HP photosmart printers are pretty good for photos. They're cheaper now, that what I brought mine for about a year or so ago.

379385 2005-08-08 04:28:00 it needs to have USB, ......pretty much irrelevant almost all printers now have usb by default and to get a printer with parrelel connection one must really specify that ....... drcspy (146)
379386 2005-08-08 04:33:00 ok, it's the epson any good then? WestMclaren2004 (7303)
379387 2005-08-08 04:41:00 I used to have an Epson photo 700 I think it was .

After a while tho, it stopped printing and just died lol . So, it went in the bin .

It was parallel only, so am glad I got a USB 2 printer . A lot faster initialising etc when u turn it on, instead of making all kinds of noises before u can use it .

379388 2005-08-08 05:32:00 The Canon Pixma range are very good printers with cheap ink cartridge costs (compared to other brands). I have the iP3000 and it retails for $279 but I have seen it on special for as low as $199 so look around and get yourself a good price on one. It does great quality photos and alos prints directly onto CD/DVD. I used to have Epson and was a bit of a fan but now I have the Pixma I would not go back to anything else.

Anyway, just my 2c.
