379464 2005-08-08 08:56:00 What about the now familiar trick of uninstalling your Dial-Up Conection and making a new one? I know it's not very sophisticated in IT terms but if it works?

(What I mean by "now familiar trick" is the uninstall-reinstall trick.)

379465 2005-08-08 09:09:00 I'm surprised no one thought of this problem....

Try going to "Tools>Options>Connections Tab" in Internet Explorer. You'll see your dial up there... Highlight it. Is any option than "Never dial a connection" tabbed?

If it is tabbed as "Dial, or always", then maybe, when you start up, a process ur running "wants" an internet connection, and asks you for it...
