379311 2005-08-08 03:25:00 Hurray, it has came alive. I bought it in to a specialist (QMB) to fix. They said it is my Bios setting problem. How can it be? ASUS mobo of this P5WD2 Premium has this special feature which it can automatic overclock the speed. I have set it to overclock by 5% if the system is under presure. But it was alright b4 I shutdown and used it again later on that night. ahd8888 (184)

Nope. I took them off. But I then can re-booted it and it was alright on Friday nite (I was playing Halo from 11:00pm to 2am) and on Saturday morning (I was downloading other demo games from 11am to 6pm).

Well, I think there is no need to post again. I have sort of the same problem like them, I just want a fix solution right now for future. One think I can't understand is I didn't touch or update by BIOS, why this happened to me.

379316 2005-08-08 05:28:00 sounds simple but have you tried replacing your cmos battery with a new one ? drcspy (146)

No, I haven't. This is a new mobo. The battery came with it and I thought there is no need to replace it. Do u think the battery is running out? Even thought the battery has ran out, there should still be able to re-boot and display an error message on the screen.

379318 2005-08-08 05:43:00 Take it to an experienced techie before it's completely ruined, if it's not already. bartsdadhomer (80)
379319 2005-08-08 05:44:00 well battries are cheap buy a 2032 from the warehouse $4 ........and it wont necessarily even bring up any kind of screen at all with a dud battery and just because it's a new mobo dont mean that battery is good it could be a year old......it could be a dud.....hey for $4 it's a cheap fix if it works and if it dont well no harm done ! drcspy (146)
