2014-12-06 21:22:00 | Hi guys, I have been trying to install a few antivirus programs after a fresh image reinstall [win 7] My internet is working fine but whilst trying to install AVG I get a message like this- connection failed, this application requires internet conectivity. Then tried Avast, it's message says There was an error while completing setup process. I then tried House call, - unable to complete the download, please make sure you have an internet connection and try again. I have not got any trouble using the internet other wise. I would really appreciate any advise. PS- I won't be able to reply until later today as i have to go out. Thank you.

2014-12-06 21:43:00 | Are you downloading the correct version. Are you 34bit or 64bit ? If you are not sure whether your system is 32 bit or 64 bit, please proceed as follows: - Press Windows key + R. - after that type msinfo32 and click OK. - You will observe the System Type item on the right side of the opened window (it may be needed to wait for a while). - If it is showing "X86 based", then your system is 32 bit. Or else it is 64 bit.

2014-12-06 21:44:00 | Try Running chkdsk /r on the new install, you may find the image didn't lay back down correctly and some system files are corrupted. | wainuitech (129) | |

2014-12-08 03:03:00 | Hi Leslie, good day to you. As on the error, if you have a 32-bit version of Windows, you can’t install 64-bit soft-wares and if you do, there will be error occurred. Thus, download the correct installer for your system since you're running Windows 7 32-bit version. Also, have you tried running the Microsoft’s Fix It troubleshooting tool? It fixes problem with corrupt registry keys and also repair it for you. Here is the link for you if you haven't try it out: support2.microsoft.com on top of that, I would recommend you to uninstall the previous versions of all the software before trying to install the new program as normally you would not be able to install a new version of a program over an older version of it. For antivirus programs, you may need to download a removal utility from the antivirus company’s website instead of using the uninstaller in the Windows Control Panel. A third party installer would also be helpful. The IObit Uninstaller 2 and Revo Uninstaller might be considered. Do try out all the above troubleshooting steps and hope it solves. Good luck mate.

2014-12-08 04:49:00 | i feel its a virus doing this as it won't even let me update malwarebytes. If thats the case then it will have been infected before the image was created. You can also force MWB to run, navigate to Program Files (x86) Locate malwarebytes folder, Chameleon Folder, double click mbam-chameleon ( shortcut not the exe)
