1389371 2014-12-02 23:31:00 My friend is unable to print (Epson Office TX600FW) from Windows Live Mail - she gets an error message saying "bad image". Have tried repairing Windows Live Essentials awhich made no difference. Seems as though there is an issue with C:\windows\sysWOW\iepeers.dll.

Anyone have a clue how this can be fixed please?

I am able to print from say Open office etc. - just not Windows Live Mail -

TIA

1389372 2014-12-03 02:08:00 C:\windows\sysWOW\iepeers.dll Is part of Internet Explorer.

A component of the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser is the iepeers.dll module. Although there are a number of web browsers available, the module primarily works with the Internet Explorer

Just a suggestion, is the default Browser IE or some other browser like FF or Chrome ? If its something other than IE, try making IE the default, see if that make any difference. ( Open IE, tools Internet options - Programs Tab - Make default)

Failing that, you can try running chkdsk & SFC /Scannow through the system.:2cents:

The fact that you can print from other non Microsoft Programs suggests there is some sort of linking problem.

1389374 2014-12-03 02:54:00 One other thing that comes to mind -- have a look and see if the computer has any "Driver update" programs, some of these, which are mostly malware can cause all sorts of weird problems, had one yesterday , LOTS of tasks / Apps broken on W8.1, removed the 3 different Driver update programs installed, ran 6 different antimalware programs removing hundreds of entries (literally) , and 99% of everything worked as it should. The other 1% I had to manually fix :nerd: wainuitech (129)
1389375 2014-12-03 05:16:00 I wrote a reply but cyberspace seems to have eaten it.... sigh.... I have shown her how to copy email by copying and pasting into Open Office - if that gets too annoying methinks she can take it to the shop.... We live in Cambridge and a few weeks ago we had a huge storm which knocked out the Internet to a number of properties in her street.... left me wondering if there is the odd gremlin lurking somewhere.... sigh....
