2014-11-26 07:17:00 | Can anyone throw any light on this E-Mail? 6046 I received it in my clear.net E-Mail account but it appears to possibly relate to my Hotmail account?????????? I have no idea who the owner of bu*****@hotmail.com might be. I thought of checking the IP address given, 103.30.93.220 but thought Id run it past you guy first. Google wasnt much help this time. :D :thanks

2014-11-26 10:32:00 | If you have a hotmail account log into it and see if everything is ok, mine got locked after someone apparently tried to use it from another country. Chances are it's a phishing e-mail though. If you don't have an account or are sure this is not relevant to yours then just delete it. Never click any links etc on E-mails like this even if legit, always go to the official site yourself to check out any such claims.

2014-11-26 17:43:00 | I have no idea who the owner of bu*****@hotmail.com might be. Then it's bogus. Whats the return address of the email, bet it isn't Microsoft...and I bet the link doesn't take you to the real login screen.

2014-11-26 19:45:00 | I know Curiosity Killed the Cat :D but sometimes youve just got to know, so I right- clicked the link and copied it, which I then pasted in a word doc and I get account.live.com Does anybody know if that is that a genuine Hotmail link? If its a scam of some sort its pretty cunning because I cant find anything clear cut on Google and there are plenty of people getting the same message and querying it with a lot of replies suggesting the message is genuine. Bit of a head scratcher this one. :)

Thats genuine. Chances are someones hacked your hotmail a/c. Just login & close it down/delete the a/c. Hotmail is/was famous for security issues. I had my hotmail a/c hacked this year, an unused a/c that had an unguessable password . So they do have issues. However , sometimes email links look genuine untill you click them . So copy & paste into a browser is allways the safer way |

2014-11-26 21:53:00 | Usually get theses from time to time from gmail when I use a VPN service or some Aussie sites that belong saying I can't log in because it's outside their ip range If you have not used a VPN I would change your password for this account just to be safe

2014-11-26 23:11:00 | This is real queer so lets start again. 1: The account they refer to bu*****@hotmail.com is not mine and has not the slightest resemblance to mine. 2: My account, gon*****_******@hotmail.com seems fine. 3: The notification came to my @clear.net mailbox so where would Microsoft have got that address from. When I set up the Hotmail account years ago I was with a different ISP and have had at least 3 new ISPs since set-up. 4: The return address, whilst being a noreply, seems genuine, as does the Link provided in their E-Mail. 5: This doesnt appear to be an isolated case, as going by google there appears to be large numbers of people worldwide that have received similar E-Mails over quite an extended period of time. Dont you hate it when you know there must be a logical answer but you cant work it out? :angry
