380200 2005-08-11 01:38:00 I can't send email on my new PC. It gives every indication that things are working (I can receive email). However, when I attempt to send anything it says "preparing to send/receive" at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen but the email just sits in the outbox. Does anyone know if there is a setting I need to change in Outlook? Thanks. k8smum (6062)
380201 2005-08-11 01:44:00 Check under the email settings, (for whoever's email you're checking), what the outgoing / smtp server is.

This might be wrong.

380202 2005-08-11 01:55:00 It could also be your anti-virus outgoing mail scan giving the problem. Safari (3993)
380203 2005-08-12 04:20:00 Does your ISP require password to be set for outgoing mail ?? hotkiwi (6379)
380204 2005-08-12 05:17:00 Open Outlook 2003 and go to <Tools><Email Accounts> then run the wizard you find there to set up or edit your email account.
You should find any problem there.
You can test your settings will in the setup/edit procedure and it will let you know if anything is wrong.
