379925 2005-08-10 05:58:00 Greetings,

I wanna buy an 802.11g or 802.11b card for my iMate JAM. Its got an SD-Slot on the top which is currently occupied by a 128MB SD-Card.

Any suggestions on where to get a low-cost one?

Cheers

Chill.

379926 2005-08-10 06:22:00 If you want it fast, trademe. There's a seller there who always sells SD wifi cards.

If you want cheaper, buy from ebay.

379927 2005-08-10 06:50:00 I found one going for $160, can you recommend any others?

Whats a rough price I should expect to pay if I were to buy from a standard retailer?

379929 2005-08-11 03:06:00 Was looking at Amazon.com, can get them for about USD$20 + Shipping of USD$33. Worth going for? Chilling_Silence (9)
379930 2005-08-11 03:39:00 Well a quick hunt through ingram's website shows that they can get a Acer one RRP $111.38 and a Verbatim one RRP $255.36. Any PC store in NZ *should* be able to get you either of those.

But neither of them are stocked. 7 and 10 day lead times to the wholesaler.

PM me if you want the Ingram part codes (sometimes helpful if your local shop people are less than perfect)
