379894 2005-08-10 01:21:00 I would recommend doing an online virus scan at a couple of the sites listed in the above FAQ. FoxyMX (5)

379897 2005-08-11 00:52:00 I have used Nortons's in the past and have retried a few later versions as they become available. I am blown away why people use Norton’s, its system overhead is huge compared to other antivirus programs.

I would rather have half the viruses out there on my PC than Norton’s as chances are they will slow the PC down less.

In my experience, people that have not tried other antivirus programs use Norton’s. If you do, I doubt you will go back to it. Even the free anti virus like AVG are a lot better in my opinion. Norton's "might" be slightly better catching viruses than many other programes, but the way it slows your PC makes it a virus in itself.

Thanks for advice.
Will try AVG. Meanwhile nothing helped and I reinstalled XP.
