379840 2005-08-09 20:40:00 The one for XP is pititful. Did you guys know you can use the Win98 version in XP?
Much better. Well, unless you like all that fluffy resource eating stuff in XP.

379841 2005-08-09 23:41:00 Thanks for the tip, never thought of doing that. Terry Porritt (14)
379842 2005-08-10 01:53:00 You can actually have both versions installed, ie TweakUI 1.33 and TweakUI for windows XP.
I renamed the XP version executable to tweakUIXP.exe to prevent confusion between the 2 versions.

Or you can ditch the lame XP version, and have 98 Tweakui, FreshUI ans TweakXP.

379844 2005-08-10 21:59:00 Out of interest what features in the Win98 TweakUI have you found useful for WinXP? FoxyMX (5)
379845 2005-08-11 00:31:00 Auctually it's a lot better to stick with the 98/2k version as things can be easier ti find.

I used it to move the location of "program files" to another partition (I have 8 partitions for windows :nerd: )

379846 2005-08-11 00:49:00 Is the win98 one where you can use custom folders in the Places Bar? I know in the XP one (Tweak UI 2.00.0.0) you can change around default folders but not use different ones. sal (67)
379847 2005-08-11 01:05:00 Yep in the 98 one you can make the system filder anything you like. The catch with program files is to move the common files folder too. apparition (3207)
