| 380652 | 2005-08-12 22:50:00 | I recently got my grandmothers old computer and I wanted to play "The Sims" on it. I put the disk in and then nothing happened. So, I went to My Computer, and clicked H:/, and a thing said, "H:/ is not accesible. The devise is not ready." It will not work! What do I do? |

| 380655 | 2005-08-12 23:06:00 | Hmm ok, do other cds work when u put other cd's in the cdrom? Or does she get the same error? If the same error does come up, with using other cd's, the connection to it inside the case maybe having probs . Even tho, the LED on the cd works and the cd tray opens . Look in control panel / device manager for the cd rom entry . . Whats it say here? Anything like X or ! beside it? |

| 380657 | 2005-08-12 23:16:00 | All disks will not work. I just looked and under control panel it doesnt say devise manager. Control Panel - system icon - device manager. How many drives/partitions does she have? If only 1 hard drive in one partition then the CD should be d:. H: seems a bit odd. |

If it doesnt show the cd here, go into the BIOS and see if the cd shows under secondary ide . . . . . And check to see if its on AUTO . The BIOS has to see the cd / device before u can use it in Windows . And does the cdrom icon, appear in windows explorer? |
