380371 2005-08-11 21:03:00 Since I went over to broadband (and changed my ISP from Clear to Xtra), I can't seem to get email out (using XP, Outlook Express). I receive mail quite well (which ones I've not yet checked - may be coming from Clear for all that I know) but the last few days I sent email to my work email address, the email is "sent" but it never appeared and my friends tell me the same, they don't get the emails I send. I just wondered where one start to look for problems. The setup on Outlook was changed the day I went over to broadband, with the help of an Extra tech (by phone). No error messages, nothing. I am forwarding emails from the Clear account (where I got beetle's help) because my daughter is using the Clear flatrate account these days.

380372 2005-08-11 21:28:00 Check Xtras help pages under XP settings. Look at the page for Outlook Express and see if your settings match. If you can receive but not send, your SMTP setting may be wrong. With Xtra as ISP even if you can receive POP3 mail from other ISPs you have to use the Xtra SMTP server to send mail. PaulD (232)
380373 2005-08-11 21:36:00 if you are actually using outlook rather than outlook express goto tools/email accounts/view or change account........then clik on the account then clik NEXT then clik 'test account settings'...... drcspy (146)
