| 380350 | 2005-08-11 15:49:00 | Give us break Adobe Their reader was good, now when I open a PDF I get one page to the left and another to the right, So good so far, then I have to spread one page over the entire screen, But as scroll down, it skips pages and might go from say page 2 to 4, then I have to scroll back to page 3. What is wrong with the world, why do everyone have to screw thing up for, and fix them up worse, the old format was bloody good, like try reading two pages at once, side by side on a 15" monitor, yeah right, I just get so ######## off sometimes because of other people come up with stupid ideas that dont work. then when things go wrong I am at the bottom of the heap that becomes a mushroom. |

| 380352 | 2005-08-11 20:19:00 | What version of Adobe Reader are you using ERR? Have you recently upgraded? There may be a simpler solution than just throwing out the program as JB suggested. Try going to View>Page Layout and click on "Single page" instead of "Facing". That might work for you. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 380357 | 2005-08-14 01:37:00 | Thanks for posting the link to Foxit Reader - much faster and less annoying than Adobe Acrobat Reader - it's great! | annie (6010) | ||
| 380358 | 2005-08-14 02:50:00 | Give Adobe a break . 'Single page' is the default page layout, or display setting, so someone who uses your pc must have accidentally changed this setting to 'Facing . ' While I understand your frustration, changing to the foxit reader (no matter how good it is) doesn't solve your problem, which is how to change page layouts between facing and single page . Changing from 'Facing' page display back to single page display is a single click job, you don't even have to use the menus . In Adobe reader versions 6 and 7 there are four page layout buttons in the bottom right corner of the screen, just above the clock . Click on the button on the left that looks like a single page . Personally I prefer the second 'continuous' option . HTH |
