| 380615 | 2005-08-12 15:42:00 | Don't know if this is anything to do with your problem ...but.... I wanted to download only the IE6 SP1 update which included a full installation of the Web browser and the most recent version of OE. However, when reading the installation instructions it had the following: How to Use: Restart your computer to complete the installation. -Win2000 and WinXP users: Custom installation is not available for IE6 SP1 on Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating systems. I wanted the update as my Avant Browser is based on IE. As I wasn't sure what a "custom installation" meant, I gave it a miss. What's the difference between "custom" and any other type of installation? :waughh: Double clicked by accident when posting this. Next thing a message appears telling me that I can only post once every 30 seconds. Oops. |
