380627 2005-08-12 22:45:00 Hello All
In W2K is there any way to transfer all allowed folders/files/configurations from Administrator account
to a Power User account other than on a one-by-one basis. Could it be done by re-naming
accounts in some way. I have somehow managed to get my Power User a/c back to "day
one" and can't face going through all that configuring and installation palaver.
Thanks
Boswell

380628 2005-08-13 03:42:00 You could establish the "actual" locations of the root of the Administrator's and "other" user's file systems then use xcopy with the "/s" option to copy all files in the structure. "xcopy /?" will give you the available options. There might be some you will need, like "create empty directories". Graham L (2)

The only tip I have is create the new account and login as the new acount before copying the profile.

Edit:
AHA!
Googled Link (www.google.co.nz)

Wait... you said configurations.... Oh... this will only make files and folders change ownership... Darn diddly arn
