| 380547 | 2005-08-12 08:16:00 | Hi just got hold of 4 old win 98 PCs never been connected to internet (no modems installed) going to spring clean and give to familly members, question is can you download updates to a CD so that i dont have to do it 4 times and if so can some one kindly supply the link onto the MS site Thanks for the help |

| 380550 | 2005-08-12 12:14:00 | Also have a look at the "unofficial Win98 Service Pack" (exuberant.ms11.net) which contains Win98 updates and some "upgrades". It is only for Win98se , not Win98 original. I have used it on several machines with no problems. In fact on one machine, it actually fixed a problem they were having. |

I have tried many times to fix it. I decided to add this service pack even though the computer was totally updated from MS and lo and behold, the problem was fixed plus my Win98SE now looks like Win2k. Good one. | zqwerty (97) | ||
