| 381526 | 2005-08-16 02:27:00 | I have a game that will only run with 4x.xx or 5x.xx series drivers however, I have a 6600 GT card which requires 6x.xx series or later to be recognised. Can I install an older driver and say I got a FX 5600 instead of a 6600 GT ? Will it work ? |

I have a friend who plays this quite happily with his 6600GT and new Nvidia driver. It would be madness to swap your nifty 600GT for an FX5200. |

No. And it doesn't work like that anyway - what I said is my friend has 1: a 6600GT 2) A new Nvidia driver and doesn't have a problem with this game - therefore the problem you have been getting is something else. Did you patch it? |
