381482 2005-08-16 00:08:00 For video, u need a video in socket/port on your video card, or a capture card.

And u plug the audio out from the video, to line in on the soundcard.

However video may need a DVD burner, if its big / a movie. It may not fit on a cd, after u record it.

For tape, it would need audio out on it somewhere, and u plug it into line in on the soundcard, record, and then use something like Nero to burn it as a Audio CD.

This audacity program might deal with the tape to CD.

381483 2005-08-16 00:54:00 I have been putting audio tapes onto CD for quite some time. I use the software that came with my SB Audigy2 ZS sound card. I plug my tape deck into my soundcard and record the tape to my HD then burn to a CD. You need a special cable to connect your tape deck to your sound card which I think is called a Y cable. It has 2 RCA connectors on one end for L & R stereo channels and a mini jack plug on the other which you plug into your line in socket on your sound card.
