380853 2005-08-14 03:34:00 Ive thought about building my own laptop for a while and yes, I know they are highly integrated and all that. However, reading around a bit I found you can buy 'BareBooks", similar to a barebone pc these contain a motherboard, casing, screen and usualy the keyboard and mouse. From this you build your laptop. Ive found these for sale over seas but was wondering if anyone knew where to buy them within New Zealand?

thanks for any help

380855 2005-08-14 03:45:00 hey, thanks for replying. The website ive been looking at in america www.coboc.com
has Asus, Aopen, ECS plus a few others. I suspect PC manufacturers in NZ get these, build them up and resell them to us
