| 380817 | 2005-08-14 02:16:00 | I had a PSU blow up which clobbered win2k necessitating a complete re-install of win2k and all my applications. All went well until I tried to install MS office 2000, I got an error msg of:- Administrator has set polocies to prevent this install. I can install my old copy of office 97 ok and everything else works properly. Can anyone tell me what can be done to fix this. TIA phil |

| 380819 | 2005-08-15 21:08:00 | yes to both. I am the Administrator, I am the sole user on a soho machine. Win2k is at sp4 with all patches applied. This current re-install was done no differently than the 2 previous ones. Note that I can install MS office 97 ok. The system is running faultlessly other than the fact that I can't install MS office 2000. cheers, ps AVG runs clean as do spybot, spy sweeper and pest patrol. I also have zone alarm in the background. |
