re peters comment about 127.0.0.1 as the correct settings for avg.........not in my experience matey..........just the usual pop3 etc settins work for me and on the many many pc's i've set up with avg......... |

Older versions of AVG added those server settings if mail scan was enabled.
Newer versions don't change the ISP server settings even with mail scan on. |

avg6 used the 127.0.0.1 as does avaast with win9x and early, very early, nortons. avg7 and just about every current antivirus uses LSP type connection (ie no need to change any email settings). |
