I always back up my Laptop H/Drive by connecting to my desk top using an adapter and doing an Image.Last time I did this it didnt appear in My computer but the bios detects it. By going into Administartive Tools and Disk Mangament the H/D appears their as a hard Drive but with no Drive Letter ( eg "d") and has 5.59 Gig Unallocated ???. Is there a program that may restore boot sectors or partition info so I can recover some files I need. |

It needs formatting, BUT no, there is nothing on it now, to get anything off it. |

You attached your laptop to your desktop to make a backup image but the laptop hard drive appears to be unallocated, but when you use the hard drive in the laptop does it boot OK or does it also have a problem with the hard drive? What was the size of the laptop hard drive? Just trying to work out whether you have a suspect laptop hard drive, or whether it is just your desktop that has the problem recognising the content on a known working slaved drive. |
