382093 2005-08-18 09:54:00 A couple of days ago, on boot, my computer started stopping after the "Welcome" screen and demanded a password. It has never done this before. I have TweakUI set to let it boot without password.
I don't even have a password.
I checked in control panel and "Jack, administrator" is the only user. No mention of password there.
At present I can boot in diagnostic mode.
I managed to get into Tweak and ticked "show user name" and now when it stops I have to click on "jack" before I can pass welcome.
Today I reformatted my C: drive and re-installed windows (xp with sp2). Everything went well for about an hour and then it started the same nonsense again.
Virus check shows nothing.
Any ideas? :badpc: :badpc:
