381567 2005-08-16 07:50:00 I have a Panasonic Limix DMC-FX7 camera that states it uses the Windows 2000 USB drivers and that I do not need to install any. When I connect to my Windows 2000 computer, it straight away asks me to install the driver and then cannot find the driver and the camera does not work?
I cannot find any drivers from their site or on the web as they think Windows 2000 supports this camera, only not for me?
Has anyone else had this problem

381568 2005-08-16 08:15:00 Since it looks like it uses a memory card, I would get a USB card reader, for about $30-40 for either internal or external.

Does it have a switch or something u have to flick over??

Didnt it come with any cd's?? The driver if it needs one will be on one of these.

381569 2005-08-16 09:46:00 Hi Yes a card reader would be a good idea if I cannot get the camera to install.

I cannot see any switch or settings I need to change on the camera.

It came with a cd with ArcSoft software for imaging, and a driver for win 98, all I have found for W2K is that they say the Op Sys should pick up the camera, which it does not seem to?

381570 2005-08-16 10:05:00 According to Google and Yahoo, one of those cds has something called SD viewer, or something?

This is what installs the usb driver for this camera. I would install that 98 driver see if it does anything. No harm in trying it.

panasonic.co.nz to see if they know anything and will report on this as well.
