382042 2005-08-18 06:32:00 You should be able to set it up with the hardware you have, just that your dads computer will have to be on for the others in his office to access the internet.

To make it easy post these details for each device(computer, router) in your network.

IP address:
Subnet mask:
Gateway:

382044 2005-08-18 06:52:00 oh yeah

wireless router:

Subnet mask
255.255.254.0

206.255.69.22
Default gateway
206.255.68.1

206.255.71.249

router in my dad's office:

all i know is for a comp to connect to it their defualt gateway has to be 192.168.0.1 and also to change its settings u have to go to 192.168.0.1 in internet explorer
CorbinH (37)
382045 2005-08-18 07:08:00 You should only have one gateway 192.168.0.1 not 192.168.2.1 as well.

Where did these come from?

This your isp's ip address?

206.255.68.1 ??

DNS Address

And this your isp ip address too?

206.255.71.249.

mom's comp:

IP address:? put anything manually put it in 192.168.0.3 will do. Just as long as it hasnt got the same ip address as any of the other PCS on the network.

Subnet mask:255.255.255.0

Gateway:192.168.2.1 - this should point to the main PC whatever its ip is.

The main PC should either be 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.2.1. Change this gateway to whatever the main PC is.

my dads comp:
IP address:192.168.2.3
Subnet mask:255.255.255.0
Gateway:192.168.2.1 - As above

382046 2005-08-18 07:15:00 so ur sayin make the defualt gate way of my dad's comp the address of my wireless router (192.168.2.1) then make the defualt gate way of my mom's comp teh ip of my dads??? CorbinH (37)
382047 2005-08-18 07:22:00 Well if

dad's #2:
IP address:192.168.0.2
Subnet mask:255.255.255.0
Gateway:192.168.0.1

Can get on the net, mums gateway has to have 192.168.0.1 as well. So, it gets on the net.

Or whatever pcs have the gateway (the ones connected to the network from the main PC) that can get on the net, the ones that cant have to use the same gateway ip address (192.168.0.1, or 192.168.2.1).
