I have gone to Control Panel - Add Remove Programs - Set Program Access & Defaults to set Mozilla Firefox as my default browser. I'm pretty sure this is what I did last time to make Firefox work. Only thing is the set up default browser has been running for ages (hour and a half) with the progress bar about half way across. Does this sound like a problem? |

| 381680 | 2005-10-08 06:50:00 | I've finally got Firefox to work properly on my laptop and following is a posting I received from forums.mozillazine.org "LeRoi wrote: This guess work on my part (I have no experience with wireless networking etc.), but try changing the values of these two prefs to 1.0 instead of 1.1. Type about:config into the location bar and press enter, type version into the filter, find these two lines: network.http.proxy.version network.http.version right click each and select modify, enter 1.0 as a value and click okay, close and reopen Firefox." This worked a treat and I thought that posting it here it might be of help to someone else. |
