| 381907 | 2005-08-17 13:15:00 | I wanted to remove MS money from my pc. It was not showing in the add/remove programs list so I tried deleting the files & folders in Explorer/program files. Money programme disappeared but now I get a pop up box saying "windows installer - preparing to install" It flickers for 2-3 secs then disappears. This happens every time I open any windows application. i.e I.E, Outlook, my computer etc. I tried doing a system restore back two days but same pop up keeps happening. How can I fix it and get rid of MS Money as well. HP Pavilion PC running Win XP home. | Peter M (852) | ||

| 381913 | 2005-08-18 11:12:00 | Get ccleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com Download and run this, then click on tools/uninstall. See if MS Moneys entry is here. If it is delete it. If not, if the folder is still in program files, delete it then click on issues and scan for issues. Once the entries come up click on fix selected entries. And then click on cleaner and run cleaner, to get rid of the trash on the hdd. |

| 381915 | 2005-08-18 13:37:00 | Ok - Speedy, have tried ccleaner. Money is listed but wont delete. Comes up with "The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personell." Johnboy- Tried everything on 895866 & also 827814. Money appears to have gone. No more folders etc. but window for installer still pops up when I open MS applications such as Explorer. |

Have you tried to reinstall Money then uninstall it? to see if it fixes this.
