| 382444 | 2005-08-20 07:17:00 | XP operating System, Asus A7A266/E motherboard with on board CMI8738/C3DX. Sound is not working at all. I have checked the pc sounds setup on Control Panel and all seems to be working, but no sound. Have also checked the device which gives the 'Device working properly' message. Speakers have been transferred to another machine and work ok. Checked that speakers are plugged into correct socket and they are. If all else fails can I just buy a PCI sound card. Will it automatically overide the existing sound system? Thanks, Arjay. |
