| 382434 | 2005-08-20 06:53:00 | I have an Acer T300 with an NEC 1300A DVD Writer. It has worked well for some time but now if I try to play a DVD it won't recognize the disc in the drive however will recognize audio and data discs. Also sometimes if I go to my computer to check the drive the PC freezes.Could it be something in automatic updates from Microsoft. Thanks,Max. |

Its a cheap make/model, but it loves the cheap Princo media (After a Firmware upgrade). When it stopped reading media that it usually had no issues reading, I got worried. Having never used a lense cleaning disc before I was skeptical, but it worked :) What if the media is burned at a slower speed on the drive, or on other PC's? This way when you throw it in yours, it might have a better chance of reading it. |
