And I also didn't even bother plugging in the keyboard when I started it up - if it was working properly it would have detected that there was no keyboard, and it would have come up on my monitor also. |

| 382323 | 2005-08-21 03:18:00 | Oh there's an onboard video controller and a plugin video card. I've tried plugging the screen into both but neither of them work. And you tell me if there might be a conflict stopping everything! :D | alexc (8747) | ||
| 382324 | 2005-08-21 03:30:00 | I would definitely unplug the extra video card. And any disk drives. Why go looking for trouble? See if you can get it going with the bare minumum. Shouldn't it try even without any memory? Even if it complained about not having any memory, that would be an improvement. | Graham L (2) | ||

That wasnt the question either.I'm pretty sure that some of them have a piece of tape of the thermal pad... was it removed prior to installation? | Greg (193) | ||
| 382326 | 2005-08-21 09:01:00 | I've tried unplugging everything and starting it up - no luck. And the processor has worked on my old motherboard already, so I don't think there's tape on it. |
