| 382603 | 2005-08-21 09:51:00 | If you've tried every PCI slot and u deleted the entry for USB (which I see you did), there's not much else u can do! I would take it back and get a better PCI card. When the drivers are installed and its working, whats the entry say in device manager for it? Is anything conflicting in device manager? Anything with an X ? ! beside it? NO device conflicts, some further investigation now makes this more interesting, for example when I SHUTDOWN and restart the USB2.0 is not recognised, however if I REBOOT immediately after turining the machine backon after shutting down, the USB board is recognised and functions perfectly, I am now thinking that there must be some prelim setting in the BIOS |

| 382605 | 2005-08-21 10:30:00 | Umm in the BIOS, whats PNP OS installed set to? Yes or NO? If its on NO change it to yes. And save the BIOS settings. And I have a pdf I think of your mobo manual, is there an option Onchip USB USB 2 option under advanced chipset options?? Disable and enable this. See if it makes any diff. It says if u use a higher performance controller, (I take it, this includes a USB 2 card), this needs to be disabled. |
