383051 2005-08-22 21:23:00 I get regular offers from an outfit called lasersoft.com who want to sell me all the major software at about a fifth of the normal price. I realise that this means they are charging about what the programmes are worth, but it has to be too good to be true, doesn't it?

Anyone out there tried them, and what's the catch?

383052 2005-08-22 21:35:00 Please don't be a mug and respond to them. Cheap Software is one of the most frequent spam scams going around at the moment. Greg (193)
383053 2005-08-23 02:49:00 A quick google says it comes from India - maybe why it's cheap, doesn't mean it's bad. Didn't see any complaints on the first page anyway. But I agree with greg I wouldn't buy stuff that spammed me anyway. mark c (247)
383054 2005-08-23 02:55:00 Any software spam I see has the products listed at a tenth or less of its retail value, No way it will be legitimate....Photoshop CS $39.99, act now...

As for lasersoft.com?....that url took me to a company selling scanning software, not well known comercial software products.

I wonder how many people get sucked in by this crap, Even my old boy had printed out a pricelist he recieved via email and asked me if it was a good buy,and he is no fool by a longshot.

383058 2005-08-23 20:47:00 Thanks folks, you've confirmed my thoughts. It's just that the major software is such a rip off, one wonders if perhaps someone could really be doing a genuine deal? No, don't go there, down boy.
Mind you, that reaming bit sounds like fun......
