383025 2005-08-22 11:09:00 Hi,
I recently switched from the 128 kB broadband plan to the 2 MB plan but wonder if it was really put into effect since I do experience a whopping increase in speed. How can I check it? I use a plug in in Firefox, but that one renders different results all the time.
Cheers
Johan

383027 2005-08-22 11:20:00 Test your speed here:
www.jetstreamgames.co.nz

You should also see you account status under your account details on your ISP's website. Did they give you the change over date?

383029 2005-08-22 11:38:00 Thanks Jen, good site you referred to. Yes, I am still on the very slow one. Can not check the status of my account. I am with Paradise, regretfully.......... Before they went with Telstra Paradise has won prices and was once ISP of the year in Enzed. That feels very long ago after recent experiences with their service................................. hotkiwi (6379)
383030 2005-08-22 17:59:00 Your line speed is approximately 278.7 Kbps or 34.2 K bytes/sec
( Where kb = kilobits and kB = kiloBytes )

Is this good, bad or indifferent.

All I realy know is it's a lot faster than dial up.

It demonstrates that you're on a sound 256k connection, ie good.
