383867 2005-08-26 09:11:00 Can anyone please tell me where to start looking? When i try to play a DVD on my computer with power dvd, or if i play a mpg or wmv that i have on the hard drive, either with media centre, windows media player or power dvd it all comes out in black and white? it wasnt doing this yesterday? Would this be a video card problem? Any help thanks in advance :) Win ME G-Boy (6793)
383868 2005-08-26 09:27:00 Whats the videocard and version of the drivers?

Is it B&W on the monitor or a TV you've connected it to?

383870 2005-08-26 09:49:00 Get 77 . 77 of the drivers . Uninstall 77 . 72 first .

77 . 72 version is a bit buggy, and the colours went wonky .

This maybe 1 reason why its playing up .

383872 2005-08-26 19:57:00 Ah thats a good point . I wonder if the ME 77 . 72 drivers were/are as bad as the XP ones .

The XP ones were definitely buggy . The colours, as soon as you viewed TV like on a TV tuner (like here), were too bright .

It was fixable, BUT you had to go into properties etc on the desktop, and as soon as u went into the Nvidia settings part, the colour/brightness went back to normal .

The only prob with this, is you had to do this everytime . Which got rather annoying!

Until 77 . 76/77 . 77 for XP came out, which fixed it .

Yup, you could try the 71 . 84 beta drivers, which MAY change things . Thats the only thing, I can think of that may fix it .

Or its a setting, that needs to be changed .

OK, But do drivers performance degrade? cause Ive had these drivers since they were released, and my colour and everything else has been A . OK . Its just i would have thought if it were a driver issue, it would have been present from the first install of them . ?

383874 2005-08-27 00:56:00 Pass. I dont play games on this to notice, but besides that every version I've used has been fine.

Well not necessarily, if that applied to MS well actually it does, windows is still full of bugs lol.

Bugs etc can appear between different versions of drivers, programs, and OS's.
