383683	2005-08-25 10:52:00	Hi there With Webots being so wonderful in locate my name on various webpages (sports results and the like) I wonder if there is any need these days to add Meta tags to webpages when the webots do such a wonderful job of locating text everything these days? Do you still need to Submitt metatags & webpages to Search engines these days? How long before these webbots find you anyway? Ive a fairly unique surname, just added my sons name in the text of a Webpage (sports results), it will be interesting to see how long before he is located. Thanks John in Mosgiel.	John W (523)
383684	2005-08-25 11:32:00	Do you still need to Submitt metatags & webpages to Search engines these days? If you what your site to be found in a timely manner etc... Then yes you do need to submit sites to search engines as Not all search engines has bots that go around looking for sites take for example http://www.nzsearch.co.nz/ which is a web directory, it does not have a bot that goes around looking for sites, you have to submit your site to it your self. Some search engines do have bot & some that don’t & if you what your site to be found for any reason then yes you do have to submit your site to them Yes you can just let the search engines bots find your site, but that depends if you link to it from other sites or web directory then your site can be found by the bots, but you some time still have to tell the bots that there is sit out there to be found. How long before these webbots find you anyway? Its depends on the search engine & if you link to it from other sites etc.. as some times your site would never be found & some time it would be found very quickly.
