383474 2005-08-24 18:59:00 Hello to you all
I have installed a network with a Linksys wireless-G .
Both computers with win 2000 os.
The printer is a brother 7820N. The connection between the two computers and the internet is going good.
Local IP address on the first and main machine is 192.168.0.1. The printer has a preset IP of 169.254.037.058 which can also be reset.
Would anyone be able to help me on setting it up?

Many thanks in advance

Gion :(

383475 2005-08-24 21:03:00 You will need to set the printers IP address to match the range of your network.
Something like 192.168.0.100 should be fine.
The 169.254.037.058 address that is in the printer at the moment is a default one that it will set when it can't find a DHCP server.

I have done that but I suspect that I may have the wrong cable?
I have a cross over cable, is that any good?
